MEET THE CREW
Capt. Ed Schroder

Capt. Ed was born and raised right here in Muskegon, MI and is no stranger to fishing. Growing up just a mile or two from Lake Michigan and its surrounding waters, he began fishing small lakes, ponds and their tributaries at a young age and as much as he could. Spending most of his summers with a fishing rod in his hand, and it was no surprise that someday he would become a charter boat fishing captain.

In 2002, Capt. Ed began his journey in targeting the Lake Michigan sport fishery. Going out just a few times on other boats with family, friends or neighbors, he was hooked. Starting out in an 18’ Star Craft with a few downriggers it didn’t take long and he was hooked. Capt. Ed spent as much time and money as he could afford and began to realize this was going to be a fun ride. As he became more proficient at finding and catching the fish on Lake Michigan, he began upgrading both his equipment and boats.
In 2009 Capt. Ed began his career as a First Mate for hire on several of the well-know boats around Muskegon where he further expanded his fishing knowledge and learning the "business of fishing" from some of the best in West Michigan. In the spring of 2014 Capt. Ed was finally given the opportunity he had been waiting for, with the purchase of his newest boat “Jobsite Too” which created Jobsite Sportfishing LLC. Within this same time period Capt. Ed went through the vigorous intense training and testing to become a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain.

Capt. Ed Schroder currently holds a USCG Merchant Mariner Credential of 50 ton National Near Coastal Masters License with a Commercial Assistance Towing endorsement, TWIC Credential and also holds an internationally recognized rating of OD (ordinary seaman) for larger commercial vessels. Capt. Ed is enrolled in a USCG approved random drug screening program in accordance with CFR 46 part 4 & 5 and CFR 49 part 10, and is also ESCI certified in First Aid and CPR (adult, child and infant).

Capt. Ed currently holds a position on the executive board of the Muskegon Charter Boat Association, and is an active member of the National Association of Charterboat Operators. Known well around the fishing community in West Michigan, Capt. Ed is ready, willing and able, to take you out, show you the coast, and catch some fish…
Fm. Daniel Dunn ( aka Bubba)

Newer to the industry “Bubba” started his carrer dockside. As a young boy he like to pan & bass fish, however around the age of 10 he was introduced to the big lake and its sportfishing, “the tug is the drug”.
Watching his step dad Capt. Ed leave and return trip after trip, not fully understanding what all he was doing while he was gone, except taking stranger out and bring back fish, He always patiently waited for the boats return. Once the boat was back he was ready and eager to help, from tossing lines dockside to carry the cooler(he couldnt even pick up), to helping packaging the fish, or cleaning the boat, he was always by the captains side whenever he could. After several family fun trips over the years he would always say “some day I am going to run the back deck” or “one day when I am captain”, little did he know his professional fishing career had already begun.
4 short years later the time finally came he began running a few trips as the 2nd mate. Working side by side with accomplished mates and captains he began to learn the basics quickly.
